Dawn Bowen Wins Award

UMW Geography Spring Banquet and the “Unterschenkel Projection”

Such a busy winter, but now our early and very warm spring has taken root and it is past time to up date you on what Mary Washington Geographers are up to.

Come and See the New Monroe!

 As part of Mary Washington’s Homecoming Weekend, the Geography Department is hosting an Open House to show off our new facilities in Monroe Hall.

Please come by on October 22 between 1:00pm and 3:00pm.  We’ll serve light refreshments, play with the stream table, give a lesson in pollen analysis, and share student work and experiences from study abroad programs and GIS courses.

Afterwards, we’ll go down to the Capital Ale House on Caroline Street for drinks and conversation.
