50th Anniversary Geography Endowment

As the Department of Geography looks forward to celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2009, a UMW geography alumnus has made a gift to establish an endowment to support student and program needs. The 50th Anniversary Geography Endowment will provide additonal resources to promote the mission of the Department by helping to fund student research-related travel, GIS and physical laboratories, local and international field courses, and other student-oriented projects.

Winter arrives

The annual Fredericksburg Christmas parade (complete with some light snow this year!) signals the end of another semester and the beginning of break.  As always, exam week is a busy time, but also a time to note some accomplishments:
